What are the currently available Computer system specifications
The basic configuration starts from the Micro processor intel atom , dual core and quad core (end of life products ) PCs . Next option is intel core i3 and equivalent from AMD . Higher versions are intel core i5 , core i7 and core i9 and equivalent from AMD . Memory 4 GB to 64 GB , 256 GB Solid state Drive (SSD) ,1 to 8 TB and more hard disk capacity 2 to 32 GB graphic card (depending on the specific application the pc used for )

What are the currently avilable specifications for servers
Servers are availble from IBM, ACER, HP, DELL etc... servers available are with Basic core Processor to Intel xeon Processors. there are single processor to multi processor , Multi core (2 to 32 cores currently available )models with memory starting from 4 GB to 64 GB . Harddisk capacity from 1 tb to 32 tb and more ,normally used server harddisk are of type SAS and SATA . SAS(serially attached SCSI )is the faster hardisk with high throughput compared to SATA . The RPM (Revolution per minuit )available in 7200,10K,15K etc.. power supplies are of the capacity from 450 Watt to 800 Watt. hot swappable and non hot swappable hard disk and powersupply are available for srevers . you can have redundancy in data and powersupply if used hotswappable models .

what is NAS devices ?. why it is used
NAS storage devices are secondary storage devices . It is commonly used as a storage and backup device where there are huge data to be stored or backed up . A hard disk can fail any time . you cannot predict it . in the event if hard disk become unreadable , getting data back is difficult and it may even not able to recover the data in some cases . if this happens to be your hard disk , you may lose all your valuable data . if data is important to you , it is strongly advised to take backup of your data regularly in multiple media like NAS , Tape drives , CDs . NAS can have high capacity storage and can be installed as a device in the network . Raid (redundant array of inexpensive drives ) can be configured in NAS and servers
